Okay, so I know I just published this post but I could not wait to share with you the bargains I got today. AND I really wanted to let you in on the VIP DAY Rockwear is having today! Remember people- I am the bargain queen. Okay so if you don’t know about Rockwear you obviously don’t live in Australia and instead under a rock? Haha, joking! Rockwear is only in Australia (from what I know) at the moment but I feel they have vast potential to go everywhere. Rockwear was first introduced to me at my gym and I instantly feel in love with the colours, girly-ness, comfort, quality and affordable price of the gear.
If you go back to previous posts you’ll be able to see the time I bought instructor belts and my new (current) favourite outfit from Rockwear. I have been known to be a tight-a$$ (don’t give me that smirk) with money at times but I thought it’s time to finally invest in some decent gym clothes, since it’s not only my job now and I wear them everyday, it also makes you feel so much better when you know you’re working out and looking bangin’ 😉
If you noticed the sneaky brackets I shoved in above you’ll see that it’s only my favourite outfit for now. Oh why is that? Yup someone went cray cray at Rockwear’s VIP DAY (if you haven’t been yet I give you permission to stop reading this post and get in there before it all gets taken). I’m so excited to share my finds with you that I won’t even bother putting it all on- when I do though I’ll try to remember to grab a picture. Oh and the shop assistants at the Rockwear stores (well the store I usually shop at) are dolls! I love having helpful, friendly and down-to-earth staff opposed to pretentious and judgmental others..
Okay, so I grabbed about 330284390 things to try on in the change room and literally hogged it for way too long. I really wish I could afford to buy more (the whole shop maybe?) but as a full-time student, that ain’t going to happen anytime soon. But here’s what I did get:
What you see is two pairs of shorty shorts. These are tight and similar to bike pants. I’m pretty sure the pink lined ones are the same as my plain blacks one seen here; just a smaller size since that’s all that was left. Dont fear- I was reaffirmed by the shop assistant and customers that I didn’t look like an overstuffed sausage (phew). I chose the blue top and pants so they could go together. And I also thought I better add a bit of variety into my gymwear- in terms of colour. I have a lot of pink and purple haha. The blue is my favourite kind of blue too. Like a royal/primary colour, but with a brightness and buoyancy about it. I don’t really like faded type colours and prefer them bold. I also got a headband because the cheapies one I had were absolutely useless and constantly came off whilst teaching. I’ll test this one out tonight and let you know how it goes. I wanted black so it will go with anything I wear and so it doesn’t discolour from sweat/hairdye or anything haha.
I’m thinking I might wear the blue outfit for bridge to brisbane Sunday, what do you think?
Do you spend more money on everyday clothes or gym wear? What is your favourite piece of gym clothing?
Cute!! Those shorts definitely look small – I don’t think my big butt would be able to fit in them haha 😉
