So Group Fitness is nothing new in the exercise world. However, there are definitely corporations that dominate the industry. In Australia particularly, I’d say the market of group fitness classes is majority Les Mills..which I am definitely not complaining about.
As a body step instructor I get to go behind the scenes so to speak and get an inside look into what exactly goes into these classes. And it is alot harder than I thought! Each program is created in a way so that we can get the best and safest workout. The programs also have a set structure which is followed to allow for peaks, recovery, warms and cool downs etc. As instructors we are given dvd/cd combo packs with choreography notes to learn each quarter- the amount of effort that just goes into picking the music and creating these choreo notes is HUGE- let alone adding complicated moves and steps into it.
But anyways, on to the classes I am going to give reviews of each class according to how I found/find it. So let’s get started:
