This post sort of stems off of this post about Body Trust and this one about enjoying the holidays. My tip to you this holiday season, is exactly this:
Enjoy this holiday season by focusing on the experiences, the special memories, and spending time with family and friends.
Don’t spend your holiday worrying about the weight gain, the calories in that or this, and about getting in all that nonsense pre calorie burn. Seriously, it does my head in the amount of bloggers, magazines etc that focus on-weight gain over the holidays, how to eat at a christmas party, how to get in extra exercise, blah blah blah. I mean it’s great to be active and eat healthy food- but becoming totally absorbed by it all that we end up forgetting the point and purpose of Christmas…well that’s too much. That’s definitely not showing the balance and moderation I employ in my healthy lifestyle.

Don’t worry your life away over the silly stuff. Are you really going to look back on your life in 50 years and think- oh boy, I’m glad I didn’t indulge in that christmas cake. Exactly. But looking back and remembering how you missed seeing your child or family member’s face as they opened that gift because you were too preoccupied calculating calories will definitely be something you remember, and not for the right reasons. So live it up people and enjoy your Christmas and this holiday season.
Stay Safe, Healthy, Happy and most importantly soak up every part of it that you can.

What is your holiday/christmas tip? If I get enough, I’d love to do another post later on with all these- you know so we can help each other out 🙂
Daily Healthy Thought: I accept all of me.
Loved this post!
Thank you! Means a lot- especially coming from a big shot blogger 🙂
I’m one of those that is trying to not focus on weight gain but by that, I’m focusing on it! But the main thing for me is spending time with people that I love 🙂
Haha, doesn’t that always happen. Goes back to the avoidance behaviour stuff, but trying not to worry about it it highlights it. Try worrying about it on your own for a solid 30 minutes- you’ll end up only going ten before laughing and your rational brain kicks in 🙂
Aw, that sounds great! I’m also looking forward to that 🙂
[…] Wherever you are today and whatever you’re doing I hope you squeeze a little harder next time you hug someone, give them extra kisses and pester them with ‘I Love You’s’. And hopefully this will help remind you what this Christmas season is really about. […]
