So this is a post for my someone to realise that females can be strong and muscly! It’s not just this one person who thinks this though. Too often society attaches words like ‘muscly, strength and ripped’ only to males, and when it’s attached to females the positive association is no more. Whilst this is not the norm 100% of the time, it is pretty common. It’s not ‘ladylike’ for females to be muscly and strong, and often it can even be seen as a negative, because some guys just want a damsel in distress. Well we ain’t no bloody damsels!
Why can’t girls be stronger than guys? Why can’t girls have muscles? Whilst I don’t want to personally aspire to be a body builder or a super muscly like people who compete- I want to be fit. Anyone and everyone should be able to be fit if they want too. Actually, everyone should be able to be WHATEVER they want to be.
I know this is a pretty controversial topic and I wish I could talk about it more. But at the moment my thoughts are all over the place (schools already having that affect on me haha)- so I’ll start with this and maybe I’ll pick it up again at a later time 🙂
