Ahhhh nothing like a whole bunch of study and lesson plans to dampen your day. Plus this constant headache? I must be fighting something. And just look how beautiful the day was this morning..
I’d say it’s a bit too hot to cook up that self-saucing pudding– but I’d keep that for a rainy day or once it cools down at night 😉
I’ve thrown in the towel and I’m not going to let the stress of these lesson plans ruin my Friday anymore! Plus it might help my headache a bit too. Apart from that beautiful sunny day, I also enjoyed sweatin’ it all out at Body Pump and Cx- we’re still on the current releases which makes it 83 for Pump and 8 for CX! I also increased my lunge track by a tiny bit- so instead of using a big and little plate, I’ve opted for a big and medium. This gives me a grand total of 13.6kgs 😉
The hot weather lately and my huge sweat outs during gym workout (not to mention these headaches) has got me drinking plenty of water. Don’t get me wrong though, I’ve always been a h2o girl. Actually, it’s the only thing I drink- I don’t have juice, rarely alcohol, coffee is foul honestly and milk goes in oats and creations only… I wouldn’t even bother telling you about cordial and soft drink (actually one of the only things I gave up during dieting (and my ED) that I haven’t once felt the need to have again). I don’t think people realise just how fantastic water is! Not only for those who like to sweat- whaddup?- but it’s essential to live! I remember back in ye olde grade 6, my teacher told me that we can survive longer without food than we can without water (obviously he didn’t know me very well haha).
drink her up!
I thought I’d share some things that I’ve heard about water and the benefits it has for our bodies and health. Beware, this is purely based on my own knowledge and learnings (so prepare for incorrect information possibly- please tell me if I am wrong btw! Sharing is caring). I’m not straight out giving you false information on purpose, but this is what I currently believe to be true. I would research it for you guys, but after the study I’ve done this past week I’ll leave it up to you guys if you want to know more 😉
- Water is good for hydrating- well duh.
- Can reduce cellulite!
- Detoxes our body! Bye bye toxins.
- Quenches our thirst.
- Helps our metabolism.
- Can cure those nasty cravings (especially when we think we are hungry but are actually thirsty).
- Great for your skin and clearing it up- as well as your hair!
- Keeps us alive- possibly the most important one duh?!
- You can have as much as you want for 0 calories.
- Aids digestion.
- Actually can prevent bloated-ness, as you body won’t feel the need to hoard water. (perhaps retain is a more appropriate word? haha).
- Free or minimal cost- buy a bottle and then fill ‘er up tap style.
- Keeps your pee clear- had to go there.
Okay, if all those reasons aren’t enough for you to go grab a cup of h2o then check out these articles for more (couldn’t help myself- had to give you some credible sources).
Us Aussies are getting closer to those hot Summer months, which means things are really heating up around here- so water is of even more importance now. Other readers who are currently going into Autumn and Winter (Ps. Why do you call Autumn, Fall?!?) don’t think you’re excluded from this lecture since it may be getting colder rather than hotter. If anything it may even be more important to remember to drink water. Because it’s not as hot, your body may forget to remind you- so it’s up to you mind 😉
Ps. For those concerned about my health- which would be all of you right 😉 – my headache is so much better. I tell you taking a few minutes to relax, drinking some water and fixing your posture does wonders.
DAILY HEALTHY THOUGHT: Don’t strive for perfection, it’s a one way street to guilt and failure. Embrace your imperfections as the perfect you.
What’s your daily healthy thought? Do you drink water often? What would your favourite drink be?
